The Ultimate Stamping Tool

The world of stamping opens up a whole new set of challenges. I think most of us stay away from stamps for so many reasons. Most of which revolve around technique. There are tools on the market that can perfect stamping and restamping. The card blog I did the other day about the Watercolor Effect with the stamp is a prime example of the options that that can then become available to us ... provided we have the right tools.

I've had the pleasure of playing around with Cathie Allan's Position-It stamping tool and can absolutely see the merits of spending a few extra bucks on having exactly what you need to take you through every stamping technique and trick in the book.

As painfil as it is to watch a video of myself ... here is a video we did on some of the uses and benefits of the Position-It. We will be doing more in the coming days so stay tuned. And if you are in proximity to the retail store in Shannonville, Ontario, we will be holding free card classes demonstrating the Position-It. The store's web site www.ECPaperCrafts.com

Product Blog: Cosmic Shimmer Metallic Gilding Polish

Hello PaperCrafters,

I just wanted to do a brief video tutorial on the Cosmic Shimmer Gilding Polishes. These are a creamy, almost "mousse" like polish, which creates a pearlescent finish on card stock or MDF. The large, flat surface area of the applicator in the cap allows for even distribution on large surface areas.

I even covered a card stock paper completely with the polish so I could create a shimmer gold to use in cutting dies for Christmas cards. One of the staffers here used it for their wedding invitations!

Here are examples of the gilding polish used to cover card stock for dies and as background.

Here are two video tutorials. The fist is techniques and the second is advanced techniques!

Enjoy! And happy crafting!
